23 alleged fixers selling fake passport appointments arrested


The Southern Police District (SPD) presented on Wednesday 23 alleged fixers who were nabbed for reportedly selling passport appointment slots in separate entrapment operations in ASEAN, Parañaque City; Libertad, Pasay City and in Gate 3 Plaza, Taguig City.

File graft raps vs ex-Leyte Gov, 5 others in P2.3M fertilizer deal – Ombudsman


The Office of the Ombudsman has found probable cause to file graft charges against former Southern Leyte Gov. Rosette Lerias and five Provincial Government Bids and Award Committee (PGBAC) members over a questionable fertilizer deal worth over P2 million.

Ex-Southern Leyte gov charged for ‘faking’ credentials


Dismissed Southern Leyte Gov. Damian Mercado has been charged in the Sandiganbayan with two counts of falsification for allegedly falsely claiming to be an engineer and failing to detail his educational credentials in 2010.
